Prima Nature Cabernet Sauvignon IGP Pays d'Oc 2025 – 75cl red wine

Prima Nature is a range of organic wines without added sulphites, offering particularly pure, generous and indulgent aromas. Each cuvée, whose composition is reduced to the essentials, expresses the character and taste of the fruit and terroir. These wines were born from the expertise of Gérard Bertrand and his oenologists, who have unique expertise in sulphite-free winemaking. The wines are vinified according to organic standards, which requires high-quality grapes. Prima Nature is also a vegan range for consumers concerned about animal welfare. Serve at 16°C with spicy dishes or vegetable lasagne.

The work begins in the vineyard with a precise and meticulous selection of the plots best suited to producing this type of wine (90% of the final result stems from this precise work): the grapes must be in perfect health, the foliage must be healthy, fresh and dense, and the grapes must have reached an optimal level of ripeness. Indeed, the harvesting window is very narrow, as the balance between acids and sugars and the maturity of the tannins are crucial for this category of wine. Red winemaking is very traditional, except that we use neither SO2 nor any other oenological input. The grapes are destemmed, then the maceration phase lasts around 10 days, during which extraction is achieved solely through daily pump-overs to encourage fruit expression. Pressing then takes place, taking care to separate the press fractions, after which the wines are racked to remove the coarsest lees before malolactic fermentation. Following this, the wines are racked again and then chilled to ensure good stability in the tank.

This wine has a very deep red colour. This cuvée offers notes of ripe fruit with delicate liquorice hints. A rounded, generous wine.
