Wine description
- The 3-hectare Hospitalitas plot located at the heart of the vineyard at the foot of a 30-metre cliff that protects it from the north wind, facing the sea
- The exceptional character of this cuvée stems from the fact that the plot sits on the two terroirs that make up our vineyard (limestone and marl)
- Intense aromas of violet, ripe fruit and some toasted notes. A smooth and bewitching attack, full-bodied, with melted tannins, great power and a beautiful length

Winemaking and ageing
In the Middle Ages, the Hospitalitas plot was home to a hospice for pilgrims, sheltered from the wind and the rays of the summer sun by a cliff that also marks the contact zone between two terroirs of white limestone and red marl soils. The building that once served as a shelter is no longer there, but today the vines benefit from this magical combe, and the plot perfectly illustrates the motto “sine vino, vana Hospitalitas”.
The protection the cliff affords the vines makes Hospitalitas—bordered by a truffle orchard, a mulberry field and an olive grove—a truly majestic showcase for Syrah. Here it expresses itself differently than anywhere else, with notes of pepper and small black berries, alongside an extra touch of freshness in a thoroughly Mediterranean expression. At the crossroads of history and culture, Hospitalitas embodies everything that sublimates the art de vivre of southern wines.
Tasting note
With an intense deep purple colour with
red highlights, its explosive nose reveals aromas
of violet, ripe fruits and some toasted notes.
With a smooth and captivating attack, the very
full palate develops on silky tannins, with great
power and a beautiful length. The sweetness and
phenolic structure lend a remarkable structure
to this cuvée, which has excellent ageing potential.

The ageing potential depends on the cuvée and vintage — it is specified in this wine's technical sheet. In general, our wines for ageing and fine wines can be kept for more than 10 years, or even over 100 years for our fortified sweet wines, whilst our lighter cuvées, intended to be enjoyed young, are best appreciated within 2 to 3 years of purchase.
The alcohol content (% vol.) varies by cuvée and vintage; it is listed in the product’s technical data sheet, below the description.
The majority of our red, white and rosé wines are dry. Our natural sweet wines (Rivesaltes, Maury...) and certain crémants are sweet or semi-dry. The style (dry/sweet) of this cuvée is specified in its description.

Like almost all wines, our cuvées contain sulphites (naturally present during fermentation, sometimes added in small quantities as a preservative). Details (“no added sulphites”, level, etc.) are specified on this product’s technical data sheet and on the back label.

As a general rule: 8-10°C for rosés and light whites, 10-12°C for more complex whites, 16-18°C for reds. The most suitable serving temperature for this cuvée is also indicated on its technical sheet.
This depends on the wine and its age, as specified on the technical data sheet where relevant. As a general rule, our powerful age-worthy wines benefit from being decanted 30 minutes to 1 hour before tasting; lighter wines, whites and rosés can be served directly.

We do not produce dealcoholised wine. However, our range offers wines with lower alcohol content: So'Vive (naturally low-alcohol organic white wine), Le Chouchou (light red wine) and Cote des Roses Red Léger. The precise alcohol content of each cuvée is indicated on its product sheet.
