Natural wines, although unregulated, are produced with a minimum of intervention. Winemakers avoid sulphites, and the wine is made with natural yeasts, resulting in the most pure possible final product.
The vegan wine
In addition to being organic, certain wines meet vegan standards, excluding the use of animal-derived products in the clarification process. These wines are often clarified with plant-based alternatives.

With the growing popularity of organic wines, choosing the right organic wine can prove tricky. Here are a few tips:
- Check the certification: Look for recognised labels such as AB, Demeter or Ecocert.
- Read the label: Producers often provide information about their viticultural practices.
- Know the wine-growing regions: Certain regions are renowned for their organic production, such as Alsace, the Loire or Languedoc-Roussillon.
- Ask for advice: Do not hesitate to consult wine merchants or to attend fairs dedicated to organic wines to discover new producers.
